I'll Bet These Are The Same Women Who Picked Out Their Own Engagement Rings

I don't think I could ever be disgusted enough by this. It's an article in the Times about women who DEMAND a "baby bauble" or (even more disgustingly referred to as) "push present". They think they are ENTITLED to jewelry for having a baby. How about being happy that your child is healthy? Or how about being thankful that you live in an area that has adequate healthcare to help you deliver the child.

It goes right back to the awful holiday commercials with Bitchy Wife demanding jewelry and dropping too many hints.

I hope half of these husbands drop their preggo wives on their swollen asses. That's the thing - the men are just as big morons for giving in to such awful demands. This is yet another reason I stopped going to babycenter.com because this was one of the topics, "What are you getting as a push present?"

Losers.

A PUSH PRESENT???????????

What the fuck?

That's the most insane thing I've heard in quite some time! What happens if Miss Perfection has a C-section? What's she gonna call it then? Hmm?

I'd like to smack people like that in the damn HEAD and then make them swallow their damn push presents.

On a better note, how the hell are you feeling? You're in the home stretch, sister! I'm so excited for you.

Crabby - Isn't it crazy?? I'll just be happy happy happy that this kid is healthy and arrived in one piece!

BG - It's the usual Upper East Side whiny simp thing. The Times has stories like that ALL the time. They're the same ones who have nannies raise their children and planned their weddings to the nth degree. I feel great though - about a week and a half away. Now I just have the last minute stuff to do, but mostly everything is done and the hospital bag is nearly packed!

Many, many years ago, I went shopping with my for a "push present" for his wife. that's exactly what he called it, too.

I couldn't believe that he was actually going to buy her a present for having children, but then again, I didn't grow up in Syosset.

As much as I thought the idea was asinine, I enjoyed getting out of work and shopping at Lord & Taylor on company time.

Wow... I have never heard about this before. I can't believe ANYONE would be so selfish; especially a mother to be...

Keep well CGG. Thinking about you all the time. Can't wait until we hear the big news! Take care,
