Well, today was my first day back at work. And I'm a little ashamed to say.....it wasn't bad. I was glad to wear a dress. I was glad to wear heels. I was glad to stop at Starbucks on my way in and grab a mocha. It felt good to go back to work. It felt good to be needed and have purpose. It felt good to complete tasks.
But I covered Luke in kisses when I got home and ate him up!
AND....after Tommy left for school, Luke behaved well enough in his swing so I could make a real dinner.
Woo hoo!!!

OMG, I didn't even know today was your first day back!!!
I'm coming to see you tomorrow!
Great news! Congrats! It does feel good to get back to a familiar routine, doesn't it?
Yea!!! Glad to hear it.
How was he all day for Squid?
Kerry - Yup. Back and put to work!
Maureen - It feels great to get back to the swing of things.
Di - He took 2 3 hour naps!! Of course, after getting dinner together he didn't go back to sleep until 10!!! Then slept for 5 hours on my chest. We can't figure him out!
Glad to hear it went well!
WOWEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You cooked and went to work on the same day?!?!?!?! My kids are 12 and 10 and I don't even do that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! KIDDING!!!!! Ok, well, partially sort of kidding...
Jill - Not only that, I'm prepped to cook mini, low prep meals this week! I know, I'm insane!
I found your blog via Sprizee. My wife went back to work January 2nd after her maternity leave ended. She's loving it big time and I can only hope the same for you. Kids are fun. Sleep is hard to find. Kids are fun. That's all I have for now.
Egan - Welcome!! I found that things improved greatly when I went back to work. Luke thrives on being out and about and sleeps better at night when he's out and about. At the end of the day, I'm happy to see him and he's happy to see me. It's all good.
